These terms cover use of the Dry Mouth Institute website and its member libraries. The Institute is a not-for-profit professional organisation; membership is free and nothing on this site is offered for sale. Membership
Membership is open to practising health professionals and is granted after verification. You agree to give accurate professional details and to tell us if your registration status changes. We may suspend or close a membership that breaches these terms or professional standards.
Using the member libraries
Material in the testimonial and resource libraries is de-identified and shared for professional education only. It describes individual presentations and outcomes; results vary between patients and nothing in the libraries is treatment advice for a specific patient. Do not republish member-submitted material outside the Institute, and do not attempt to re-identify any patient described in it.
Your submissions
By submitting a testimonial, case or resource you confirm it is de-identified, that you hold any consent your professional obligations require, and you give the Institute permission to show it to verified members. You keep ownership of what you submit and can ask for it to be corrected or removed at any time. Every submission is reviewed before it appears.
Our responsibility
The Institute curates member contributions in good faith but does not verify every clinical claim in them; professional judgement always remains yours. To the extent the law allows, the Institute is not liable for clinical decisions made in reliance on library material. These terms are a plain-language draft pending professional legal review, which will confirm the governing jurisdiction and the not-for-profit's registration details.
Regional terms
Australian Consumer Law. Some guarantees under the Australian Consumer Law apply to services as well as goods. To the extent those guarantees apply to our membership services, nothing in these terms limits them. UK and EU statutory rights. If you are in the United Kingdom or European Union, applicable consumer protection law may give you rights that cannot be excluded or limited by contract. These terms do not affect those rights.
Governing law
The governing jurisdiction and formal legal entity details are pending professional legal review and will be confirmed in that review. Where applicable law requires, local mandatory rules apply regardless of the governing law.
